Compulsion is an independent paid-search consultancy operated by Russell Anson. This page explains the personal information handled when you use this website or contact Compulsion.
What is collected
If you use the contact form, the information you enter — such as your name, email address, company and message — is received so Russell can respond to your enquiry. The form is hosted through Netlify. If you choose to book a review, Calendly processes the information needed to arrange that booking.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is used to understand how people use the site. Analytics is not enabled unless you choose “Allow analytics” in the consent notice. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed by clearing this site's local storage or browser site data.
Why information is used
Enquiry and booking information is used to respond to you, discuss potential work and provide services you request. Analytics information is used, with your consent, to understand site performance and improve the website.
Sharing and retention
Information is only shared with service providers needed to run the website, analytics and booking process, or where required by law. Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for and any applicable legal or business requirements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and withdrawal of consent. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
